This blog contains affiliate links. What this means is that I have partnered with a handful of brands I trust and display product ads from them. Should you purchase anything through my affiliate link, I will be paid a commission for referring you at no additional cost to you. You are under no obligation to purchase anything using any affiliate link on this site. Anything I make from affiliate commissions goes to support the continued maintenance of this site. Thank you.
My biggest problem with leadpages and instapage is they are super expensive. For someone starting to start out on a shoestring budget, lots of times those aren’t great options. I personally tried LeadSanity.com and it works great for me. They certainly aren’t as feature-rich as the other guys, but they have a free version and their paid accounts are cheap as hell. Just my two cents.
For instance, Leadpages and Unbounce are scored at 8.5 and 9.0, respectively, for general quality and performance. Likewise, Leadpages and Unbounce have a user satisfaction rating of 100% and 97%, respectively, which reveals the general satisfaction they get from customers. Better yet, get in touch with a regular customer of the software and solicit their feedback regarding the software in question.
An easy to use, a clean dashboard will be found in LeadPages while Clickfunnels dashboard uses flat icons and images throughout the pages. After all, display and orientation matter. Clickfunnels has highly customized options for the landing pages with lead pages doesn’t have that feature. As a result, the marketers could easily recognize the pages made from LeadPages from space.

Ease of Use (Draw)  Both Leadpages and Unbounce combine a wide array of pre-designed templates, plus straightforward drag-and-drop page builders for dynamic tweaks. Unbounce offers a pixel-precise drag-and-drop editor, while Leadpages comes with a column-based one. Leadpages provides a supplementary static editor, which is optimized for simplicity.  The Leadpages static editor has limited tweaking capabilities.  Leadpages outshines Unbounce when it comes to extra conversion tools and resources. Leadpages and Unbounce are both pleasantly easy to use.

Like LeadPages, but with a heavy emphasis on the full sales funnel, not just the landing page. You can design opt-in forms and funnels. You can create a full sales funnel. You can set up webinars and a webinar-based funnel. You can even create member sites and product launches that require an exclusive membership fee or members-only access. It’s a short process to go from registering for the service to hosting your page, too.
PPC advertising is huge in today’s online marketing industry, oftentimes people will click on a particular ad because it told them that they would receive a certain discount or item however once they reach the site, they are forced to search for the item which can be very frustrating. Instapage makes PPC advertising very easy by automatically linking your ads to the designated webpage that you assign during the initial set-up process. You can even set-up special discount codes that will automatically be applied when the potential customer clicks on your link.
Like LeadPages, but specifically designed for WordPress sites. Again. Thrive hooks into WordPress and allows you to create highly customized landing pages, along with their specific Thrive Leads plugin. Thrive Leads is a two-step opt-in plugin that mimics the beneficial functionality of the LeadBox. If you’re too attached to WordPress or your existing blog to migrate to a LeadPages site, this option is perfect for you.
Like LeadPages, but focused more on templates and modular drag-and-drop building than the additional features. You can implement a welcome gate, you can use two-step opt-ins or three-step signups, and you have an image editor build into the system. On top of all of that, it has a bunch of bundled in analytics, giving you more data than most of the other programs on this list. They also have a 60-day money back guarantee, which is twice as long as most of the rest. They also have an unlimited annual license for $200.
A squeeze page generally “squeezes” the email of the visitor in return of something valuable to them. The visitor sign up using their email address and you promise to provide them the service that is featured in the main landing page. You can provide important information in the form of ebooks, whitepaper, newsletter, video or webinar information, case studies, decks etc in return of their emails. Before deploying the squeeze pages you must decide on the creativity and the determine the usefulness of the information provided by you in the main page of the landing pages so that it will be enticing enough for the visitors to enter their emails.

The implementation of landing pages on small business websites is surprisingly a very new method that has only been around for less than a decade. The reason so many people use landing pages is that they are a really effective way to essentially put your lead capturing abilities on autopilot. Landing pages provide a way for small business owners to capture high-quality leads that can potentially lead to further sales on a consistent basis.

Instapage started as ‘just’ a landing page builder, but now it calls itself a ‘post-click automation platform’. Now, I realize that’s a little jargony, but it does highlight that Instapage is more focused on creating dynamic, personalized landing pages that match your ads, rather than just creating one-off static experiences for all visitors. There’s a lot to like about Instapage’s functionality, but it’s also the most expensive tool on this list.
